Sesquicentennial Celebration

We look forward to celebrating 150 years, this Sunday, May 19th! The celebration begins with the Festival of Easter Lessons and Carols in the Church at 5:00 pm. We will celebrate on the church lawn with catered food, beautiful decorations and costumed founding members of Good Shepherd. In the event of rain, we will move the party inside. This event is full, and if you missed it, you can look forward to a celebration at the Flowing Wells Road Campus, October 5, 4:00 pm. The event at the Flowing Wells Road Campus will be offered at no charge.

A nursery will be available for children infants to age 5, and there will be celebration activities in the Youth House as well as free food and beverages for all children and students who are present.

Tastefully Yours is catering this event and the menu includes:

  • Heavy Hors d’oeuvres Station: Charcuterie, Wild Caught Pickled Shrimp
  • Carving Station: Roast Beef Tenderloin, White Cheddar and Pancetta Baby Potatoes, Shredded Kale and Collards
  • Southern Station: 5 Spice Braised Pork Shoulder, Lasagna-Style Smoked Gouda Mac, Roasted Asparagus
