A solid foundation is generally recognized as the key to success to most everything in life, and it is certainly true when it comes to the Christian life. A mature Christian possesses a good working knowledge and understanding of the bible and theology, in addition to the basic disciplines of spiritual life such as prayer, worship, and service.
Sunday Mornings Sunday mornings at Good Shepherd are designed to provide interested adults the opportunity to build a sure faith foundation for life. The parish clergy and others lead classes from 10:00 - 11:00 AM. Usually there are three - four options offered in sessions that follow the liturgical year.
Occasionally, all adults will meet together. At other times, participants can choose to join any group. Remaining with a group throughout the year allows connections to form between class members for those looking for community as well as an educational experience. Or, participants are welcome to choose a class based on the subject offered each session.

Wednesday Evenings Join us for food, fun, and fellowship on most Wednesday nights at Good Shepherd. Teams of parish volunteers prepare delicious, home cooked meals at an incredible price so that the parish family may gather. Dinner is served at 6:00 PM.
Great Wednesdays are a great way to connect with friends at Good Shepherd or to enjoy a nice meal without the necessity of preparation and clean up.
Following dinner, a program is offered for adults, youth, and children. Child care is available for children age 0 - 3. Adults may visit with each other or join one of a variety of small groups.

Tuesday Bible Study Every Tuesday morning at 10:00 AM, we gather for Bible study and discussion. If you are interested in exploring the Bible in a relaxed atmosphere, then come join us on Tuesday mornings.
Women's Bible Study Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life." John 6:35. Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of the world." John 8:12. These and six other "I am" statements by Jesus are recorded in the Gospel of John, in chapters 6 - 15. Please join us in the Conference Room as we focus and reflect on Jesus' words, and how they reveal the true nature of our Lord. Dianne Burnside, friend of the church and popular bible study leader, will lead this study. This class meets Thursdays from 8:30 - 9:30 AM, in the Conference Room.
Education for Ministry Education for Ministry, also known as EfM, is a program of theological education-at-a-distance of the School of Theology of the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. Students commit to one year at a time for this four year program. It covers the basics of a theological education in the Old and New Testaments, church history, liturgy, and theology. Students meet regularly, once a week, in seminars under the leadership of trained mentors. A class meets from 6:30 - 9:00 PM on Thursday nights. EfM is a perfect opportunity for those who would like to grow in their discipleship and who are interested in more in-depth study. If you are interested in this small group experience, please contact Curtis Johnson at 706-855-7799.
