Tuesday, the First Week of Lent – Ray

What a great analogy today of making a difference to that one “starfish” and the fact that from before creation that “child” was chosen for that act of selfless redemption.  After all, we are all “children of God” with purposes here that sometimes seems that only the Creator understands.  My prayer everyday is for God to give me the wisdom to recognize a “starfish” when I see one and the courage to offer it salvation or glimpse of the Creator by my thoughts, words, interactions, and prayers.

“This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice in it.”

Renee and I were talking about the starfish concept this morning. There was a news story about a few strollers being left by Polish people for Ukraine families to use once they get off buses and trains. We agreed it would be easy to dismiss these actions to be of little benefit to the 1.2 million people leaving the country, but I bet one stroller meant a lot to one family. If only we could all just make a difference to just one person every day…
Thank you for the reminder Ray!
